This is one of the most if not memoir I have ever read, could not put down。 There is nothing left unturned, she puts it all on the line。 There is also more than just talking about her Cancer, she shows how she handled it, the center she has, the ways to beat cancer, this is not how she puts it, but you understand。 You will not be able to put it down, it is that good。 It is more than just a Memoir, read it。

Interesting memoir by Olivia Newton-John, she comes across as a truly nice person。

Don’t get me wrong, I’m always the first to sign up for a good celebrity memoir, this just wasn’t my favorite。 I love ONJ and I adored listening to her tell her story herself on the audio。 She’s been through quite the journey in life and has a lot of wisdom to share。 I kind of feel weird eating autobios because it’s almost like saying “I didn’t really like your life that much, sorry!” That’s not my point。 I learned a lot and that’s what I love about this genre so much。 From a reader’s perspectiv Don’t get me wrong, I’m always the first to sign up for a good celebrity memoir, this just wasn’t my favorite。 I love ONJ and I adored listening to her tell her story herself on the audio。 She’s been through quite the journey in life and has a lot of wisdom to share。 I kind of feel weird eating autobios because it’s almost like saying “I didn’t really like your life that much, sorry!” That’s not my point。 I learned a lot and that’s what I love about this genre so much。 From a reader’s perspective of following along and finding it read like an actual story, though, I just didn’t feel that。 Please know, though, I adored every part about Grease and John Travolta。 🤗 。。。more

I enjoyed the audiobook with Olivia herself narrating it。 I have always enjoyed her as a singer and her life has been interesting。 She has been very positive dealing with cancer and other bad stuff that has come her way。

I idolized Olivia Newton-John when I was a little girl, and still love her music and movies today。 I decided to read this book after watching an old interview of her recently。 I have to say, I am even more impressed by Olivia Newton-John now。 Not only is she talented and beautiful, but she is smart, kind and funny as well。 This book takes you on a journey of her career, starting with her childhood。 It goes a little into her relationships, and her battles with cancer。 She is truly remarkable。 I h I idolized Olivia Newton-John when I was a little girl, and still love her music and movies today。 I decided to read this book after watching an old interview of her recently。 I have to say, I am even more impressed by Olivia Newton-John now。 Not only is she talented and beautiful, but she is smart, kind and funny as well。 This book takes you on a journey of her career, starting with her childhood。 It goes a little into her relationships, and her battles with cancer。 She is truly remarkable。 I highly suggest listening to the audio version, if you plan on checking this book out。 。。。more

This will not go down in literary history but it’s Olivia Newton John and I love her。 In 5th grade my dad took me to her concert。 It was my first concert ever。 Liv On Olivia!

A private person goes publicOlivia Newton-John opens her book by stating that she is a private person; however, she has chosen a career that depends upon the support and admiration of the public。 She covers the big moments of her life and career; however, it does seem guarded, which just might be who she is。

This is a very positive and uplifting memoir, although there were times when I felt that such a positive spin left me wanting to know more about the reality of Olivia's story。 I would have liked to know about her family as her maternal grandfather was Max Born, a Nobel prize winning physicist and mathematician who was instrumental in the development of quantum mechanics。 Also her father worked at M15 and on the Enigma code breaking machine at Bletchley Park during WW2。 He also took Rudolph Hess This is a very positive and uplifting memoir, although there were times when I felt that such a positive spin left me wanting to know more about the reality of Olivia's story。 I would have liked to know about her family as her maternal grandfather was Max Born, a Nobel prize winning physicist and mathematician who was instrumental in the development of quantum mechanics。 Also her father worked at M15 and on the Enigma code breaking machine at Bletchley Park during WW2。 He also took Rudolph Hess in custody after the WW2。 There is very little about her family background as the book is mostly about her career, famous people she has worked with, her love of animals and the environment and her three battles with cancer。I found the last section hard going as it focuses on her belief in alternative medicine and therapies and plant based medicine。 Although, in admiration, she worked very hard to raise funds to help build the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre in Melbourne, Australia which provides conventional cancer treatment alongside wellness programs to support patients in body, mind and spirit。Olivia had an on-off relationship with an American cameraman, Patrick McDermott, for eight years。 He disappeared mysteriously in 2005 and has never been officially found dead or alive。 That is a story in itself if you search online which would have been worth more than the three pages it got in the book。It was a good, interesting read during the dark days of 2020 but has left me wanting to know more about some things。 I wish her well and hope that she has many more years of healthy life left in her。 。。。more

This book is reflective of its author。 Just like Olivia Newton-John, it’s wholesome life-affirming and uplifting。 It’s written beautifully and depicts the soul and character of Olivia。 She exhibits a luminosity that is evident in her songs, as well as her spirit。 This is now replicated to the book。 Thank you。 It was an enjoyable read。

A total puff piece - rainbows and lollipops。 She failed to mention her first husband didn’t make it in Hollywood or the fact that her daughter had anorexia, a cocaine habit and went through 550K worth of plastic surgery (she turned into a horror!)。 Not a very realistic look at ONJ’s life。She dwells on all her sicknesses, but the show must go on, so she battles her constant pain。 I’m glad she sings so well because she certainly can’t write。 The story jumps all around, too much name dropping and e A total puff piece - rainbows and lollipops。 She failed to mention her first husband didn’t make it in Hollywood or the fact that her daughter had anorexia, a cocaine habit and went through 550K worth of plastic surgery (she turned into a horror!)。 Not a very realistic look at ONJ’s life。She dwells on all her sicknesses, but the show must go on, so she battles her constant pain。 I’m glad she sings so well because she certainly can’t write。 The story jumps all around, too much name dropping and everyone is a dear friend!! I was hoping for a bit more career and music related stories。

I love Olivia Newton John! Her music was, and is, awesome。 She's sweet and iconic。 This book, however, is one of the most boring I've read in a long time。 There were a few interesting tid bits and what she has done for wellness is certain commendable。 I finished the book because I kept hoping for more but never found it。 I love Olivia Newton John! My childhood idol! I still love and adore Olivia。 I usually grow bored and skim over a lot of biographies but this one kept me hooked。

3 stars for dishy memoir readers, 4-5 stars for Olivia Newton-John fans。I have a confession, ONJ was my idol in late middle-early high school。 I even asked my stylist to cut my hair like hers。 My hipster brother was aghast at my musical taste。After hearing her hit a few clinkers in a live concert and discovering vocal heavyweights like Linda Ronstadt and Heart, I outgrew her and didn’t much follow her career。 After reading Demi Moore’s memoir I was looking to be served some T by my former fave。 3 stars for dishy memoir readers, 4-5 stars for Olivia Newton-John fans。I have a confession, ONJ was my idol in late middle-early high school。 I even asked my stylist to cut my hair like hers。 My hipster brother was aghast at my musical taste。After hearing her hit a few clinkers in a live concert and discovering vocal heavyweights like Linda Ronstadt and Heart, I outgrew her and didn’t much follow her career。 After reading Demi Moore’s memoir I was looking to be served some T by my former fave。 Alas, ONJ’s memoir is as sugar coated as her image, glossing over less savory past issues such as a boyfriend who mysteriously vanished and her daughter’s addictions。 To be fair, her daughter seems to have suffered enough in her young life and ONJ seems like a nice, bubbly woman giving her fans what they want。 During a morbid worldwide pandemic maybe we need a bit of frothy fluff to keep us “believing’”, but for those who want more it’s a letdown。 。。。more

A light-hearted memoir; it focused on where her life has ended up。 I read this book to learn more about her career in the 1970's, when every teenage boy was in love with her。 It seemed as though she skimmed along the surface of all of her life events, leaving the reader craving for more information。 A light-hearted memoir; it focused on where her life has ended up。 I read this book to learn more about her career in the 1970's, when every teenage boy was in love with her。 It seemed as though she skimmed along the surface of all of her life events, leaving the reader craving for more information。 。。。more

Although I loved Olivia Newton-John as a kid, and have seen Grease and Xanadu more times than I can count, I really did not know anything about her personal life at all。 I enjoyed reading her memoirs, and just really liked how genuine she seemed。 She appears to be very much a people person, someone who loves animals, and just genuinely cares about others in life。 I liked the positivity that she seemed to radiate in her story。 I was glad that I read the book!

In my constant pursuit to find a decent (auto)biography to read, I came across this one quite randomly at the library。 As I've always been a fan of Olivia Newton-John from her older albums and the starring role in Grease, I never knew much else about her。I was pleasantly surprised with the book as it was well-written and Ms。 Newton-John has a story to tell。 Whether its about her early years with her singing career, her experience in filming the hit movie Grease!, or her later years in building a In my constant pursuit to find a decent (auto)biography to read, I came across this one quite randomly at the library。 As I've always been a fan of Olivia Newton-John from her older albums and the starring role in Grease, I never knew much else about her。I was pleasantly surprised with the book as it was well-written and Ms。 Newton-John has a story to tell。 Whether its about her early years with her singing career, her experience in filming the hit movie Grease!, or her later years in building a cancer center (in her native Australia) and fighting the disease herself, her do-it mentality is what shines here and her ability to adjust to whatever she is doing。An excellent read for any ONJ fans out there。 。。。more

A very positive upbeat story of her life。 She talks about her music, husbands, miscarriages, and her interest in natural healing。 She built a wellness center and set up several animal rescues。 The last few chapters were a little much with all the ideas of wellness but over all a good story。

Katie Cotter

So unaffected。 Did not talk about fame or career。 Talked about work, charities and cancer。

Stephanie

She has really lived life, and has some epic wisdom and advice。 I love that she’s so in tune with her body, she is so passionate about health, wellness, eating right, taking care of your body, and she just lives what seems to be a simple, as peaceful as possible life。 She’s so content being in nature and around animals。

(Audiobook) I’ve love Libby since I was 11 yrs old。 Saw Greece when it first came out。 Loved Xanadu and I thought “Let’s get physical” was about exercising (of course I was young)。 I didn’t understand why she made the States her home and not returned back to Australia, however, didn’t realise that she did return home for awhile。

As a teenager I idolised Olivia Newton John。 This biography took me down memory lane。 An easy read that touches the heart and is a part of history。
